Really, what was the worst that could happen if she gave into the heat in Ripley’s eyes? More than likely they’d have a passionate affair that flamed out before it began. Okay. A manageable awkwardness if that came to be. At least she would be able put the thoughts to bed for good.

Of course, there was the possibility that the sins of her past would surface and she would be forced back out onto the street. Did she want more regrets than she already had by hanging on to her stubborn fears and not take a chance on him?

Her and Ripley. Together.

In the mirror her cheeks were flushed and her green eyes turned smoky as a colony of butterflies settled behind her ribs.

Holy hell, she was really going to pursue him.

Between her thighs she turned liquid, her body already preparing for Ripley’s possession. And he would possess her, of that she had no doubt. There was no half way with the man. That blasé devil-may-care attitude he projected to the world hid the animal inside him, the beast who would devour her whole. Take and take until she was drained. Heaven help her, that was just what she needed.

Her fingers shook as she dabbed on a touch of lip balm and smoothed down a wayward strand of hair. A smile flirted on her lips and she shivered, anticipating the intense union as she padded in her stocking feet down the hall on the hunt for her man.
